Pillowcase Pattern:

1. Cut a rectangle with the following dimensions: by

(a) For no hem on the flap edges, move on to step 4.
(b) For a single-fold hem, fold in the narrow edges "hem size" units on each side, wrong sides together, and press.
(c) For a double-fold hem, fold in the narrow edges "hem size" units on each side, wrong sides together, and press. Do this again on the same edges.
3. Stitch the hems in place.
4. Flip the fabric so that the right-side is facing up. On one side fold "top flap size" units, right sides together, and press.
5. On the other side fold "width - top flap size + overlap size" units, right sides together, and press.
6. Stitch the top and bottom edges.

Pillow Pattern:

1. Cut a rectangle with the following dimensions: by
2. Fold in half across the vertical axis with right-side together and press.
3. Stitch along all edges but the fold egde, leaving a gap large enough to put the pillow stuffing through later.
4. Trim the corners, being careful not to cut past the seam allowance. Finish the edges.
5. Flip the pillow right-side out and fill with desired filling.
6. Stitch up the hole in the pillow.
